Hacked. The nightmare for anyone is business. Sadly, cybercrime, security breaches, and targeted hacks are on the rise and affecting nearly every industry. But the question is – can you confidently answer how up to date your data protection and cyber security really is?

The global cyber security market is projected to grow from “USD 155.83 billion in 2022 to USD 376.32 billion by 2029, exhibiting a CAGR of 13.4%” according to recent research by Fortune Business Insights. “With the rising number of online security threats, the requirement for advanced solutions is growing exponentially. Factors such as the lack of experts and budget constraints for SMEs hinder market growth” the report states.

Loosely translated: unfortunately, cybercrime isn’t going anywhere. The projected rise shows the importance and necessity of cyber management for all businesses.

Can you translate, decipher, and understand the lingo used to describe the level of computer safety and security of your IP? If not, it’s time to invest in improving your knowledge in the Data and Cyber industry.

That’s exactly what Alex Harper - General Manager at Kinship Digital Canberra and current Ducere student did. Alex is currently studying his MBA in Data & Cyber Management with Ducere Global Business School and the University of New England. He recently shared his experience as a student with us in an information session webinar.

“I don’t have a background in cyber or what have you. I fell into the industry and I’ve learned on the go so [this course has] been really useful to actually bring up that level of understanding. I would definitely recommend it.” The course has helped Alex with “explaining concepts and thinking big picture on an organisational level” within his current role.

“Learning is the key to elevating your understanding in a particular area”. If you’re looking to develop your skill set and knowledge in network security and cyberspace, as well as enhance your management skills, have you considered studying for your MBA?

Alex recommends this course for “anyone who not only wants to progress in a management type role and be able to think about things more holistically, but also anyone that wants to then increase their understanding of ICT and all those kinds of processes as well.”
